Body Hair Removal: Solutions For Today

Body Hair Removal: Solutions For Today

As we as a race become increasingly conscious of the way others look at us and not just the way, we look at ourselves, personal grooming has never been more important. And top of the list for many men and women today is to gain a superior attractive quality by getting rid of unwanted body hair. Be it facial hair removal for women, or back hair removal for men, quick hair removal treatments have fast gained in popularity with the masses. As your search continues for the treatment best suited for you, we have tried to put together a concise set of hair removal solutions available in the market today for your benefit.

The commonest form of quick hair removal today is shaving, which as the name suggests is the simple application of a razor blade, either manually or electrically on the skin surface to remove the hair by cutting the hair stem. While it's a quick painless hair removal method which is effective, it lasts only for very short bursts of time and can never be termed a permanent hair removal solution. Still for people short on time and low on cash, shaving still promises to be an affordable practical solution. For the slightly advanced enthusiast, depilatory creams are a good bet to do facial hair removal and leg hair removal. These creams effect quick hair removal through surface chemical reactions with the protein in your hair, breaking it down and making it easy to come off. Available in a variety of forms such as gels and aerosols and typically calcium-compound based, this treatment offers a solution which however is not a permanent hair removal method.

Of course, if you are a girl, you have probably gone through the painful procedure of waxing for body hair removal especially for hands and legs hair removal. Tweezing like waxing works by plucking the hair out of the skin right from its root s, thereby giving a hairless skin which can last for several weeks until the roots of the hair grow back. Electrolysis for hair removal on the other hand works on the principle of destabilizing the hair roots through surface electrical currents charged through electrodes implanted in the skin. While the effect of electrolysis hair removal is long standing in nature, frequent sessions and a serious dent on your bank balance are realistic possibilities that you need to keep in mind.

The best hair removal method available today is laser hair removal for men and women alike. This treatment is swift, precise, painless hair removal technique which normally guarantees an extended period of freedom from unwanted hair. In just a few sessions, whether it is facial hair removal or back hair removal, the laser technology effectively answers all your needs and desires for looking your personal best!

Visit your local salon or contact your beautician for understanding which of these hair removal treatments would work best for you. All the best to looking good and feeling great!!

Home Remedies for Sun Burns - Treat Sunburn at Home

Home Remedies for Sun Burns - Treat Sunburn at Home

Sunburn is a burn to the skin produced by overexposure to the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.

The symptoms of sunburn are: Red skin that is painful and hot to touch, mild dizziness and tiredness. The skin damage is often permanent and can have serious long-term health effects, including skin cancer.

Boil lettuce leaves for ten minutes, strain off and chill the water (cool, not cold) and apply it to burned skin. Some dermatologists also recommend this.

ALOE VERA is a natural and soothing treatment option for sunburn and tan. Just pluck a few leaves of the plant, mash them and mix with lemon juice. Apply all over the affected areas. It cleanses, clears and nourishes the skin.

Mix 2 teaspoon tomato juice and 4 tablespoon buttermilk and apply on the face. Leave for 1/2 hour, and wash off.

To create a green tea for sunburn compress, make an infusion by pouring boiling water over loose-leaf Green Sencha tea leaves and allow the mixture to sit for 15-20 minutes. Once that the infusion has cooled, strain the leaves and retain the liquid. Soak a clean cloth in the liquid, and then place on the sunburned area for 5-10 minutes. This may be done several times a day.

Prepare a Sunburn Soother by mixing 1 cup white wine vinegar, 5 tablespoons salt, 5 tablespoons plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons aloe gel. Combine all the ingredients and stir briskly until smooth and creamy. Store in a refrigerator. Shake well before use. Apply it on the affected areas every hour or so, until the burning sensation is gone.

Mix glam flour in curd and apply on face. Wash off after 30 minutes. Do it daily till your sunburn is gone.

Another home remedy for sunburn is to add water to powdered slippery elm to make a paste-like substance, and then to apply the paste on the sunburned areas. Slippery elm acts as healing agent, and also draws out toxins from the wounds.

Mix together 150ml (1 pint) of plain yoghurt and 2 tablespoons of rosewater (elderflower water can be substituted for the rose water.) Apply where it hurts to soothe and cool. The application of this delicious mixture can be made into a terrific game to turn a cantankerous child's thoughts from misery to laughter. Rose water and glycerin, 4 tablespoons of each, is one of the best moisturizers for children's skin but it is not as healing as yoghurt. This will completely remove sunburn.

Comfrey root is an herb that helps to soothe burns. Place one tablespoon of comfrey in one cup of water and bring it to a boil. After it simmers a few minutes, let it cool. Saturate a cloth with the strained liquid and apply to the burned area.

Mix one egg white with one tsp honey and hazel. Apply this on the bruised area and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Later wash it with luke warm water.

For treating a sunburn which is relatively mild, add ten drops of chamomile oil and ten drops of lavender oil to a cool bath and soak yourself in it for half an hour or more. This will moisten your skin and lessen the skin discomfort.

After Effects of Laser Hair Removal - Should I be afraid?

After Effects of Laser Hair Removal - Should I be afraid?
Considering laser hair removal? This relatively safe procedure is the perfect way to remove hair for an extended period of time. It is much faster, less painful and lasts longer than waxing or other types of hair removal. But, is there anything that you should know before having the procedure done? Are you wondering if in fact there are more facts that you should have on this before you begin?

What's Going To Happen To Me?

For many, the worry is that you will not know what is about to happen. It sounds pretty scary having a laser come at you while you are laying there vulnerable. But, the fact of the matter is that this is a very safe procedure. The laser will be worked by an experienced technician and you should make sure of this. It will feel like a soft tingling sensation across your skin. It is much less painful than waxing is. For most people, the pain is tolerable and there are few complications. They can go back to their normal routine right away.

Possible after-effects

For some, there are a few things that can happen to the skin. All of these conditions are mild and should not be considered something that will happen as the risk is low anyway.

Redness - The first thing that you will notice may be redness to the area that has been treated. In most cases, this is only temporary and will be gone within a few minutes. It is the same basic reaction that you would have if you were to pluck a hair or to damage the skin lightly.

Swelling - Your skin can seem to be a little swollen in the area that is treated. This again is just a reaction to being "hurt" and will go away within a few minutes or so.

Change in skin color - In some very rare cases, there is the potential for the lightening or darkening of the skin. This is very rare and the risk can be minimized by simply insuring you are working with an experienced technician for your laser hair removal.

Laser hair removal is a relatively safe procedure that doesn't often go wrong unless there is inexperience or human error, which is rare. So, hopefully we have convinced you that the after effects are minimal and quite tolerable to most people.

Tips on Relieving Hair Removal Discomfort

Tips on Relieving Hair Removal Discomfort
Fashion can be a fickle beast and the ages have held that to always be true. In the 70s and 80s, male virility was naturally assumed if a man had an excessive amount of bodily hair. That same token still holds true in many societies today however there are many more that now value the smooth graceful signature of hair-free skin as much on a male as they do on a female. By far, aside from some of the alternative movements, women have always been expected to have smooth and clean skin and so many display that quality with such flawless perfection. But how can these incarnations of Aphrodite submit themselves to the discomfort and even pain required to perform such a ritual of beauty, on such a regular basis?

The chic of today most times demands a clean and hair free style. The most used technique for attaining such a style is to wax. Waxing, often, can certainly be very uncomfortable. Does it need to be, though? Not really. There are methods you can use to ease the soreness or get rid of it completely. The key is to discover out what is the most successful for you and your personal level of pain tolerance.

One option for evading the annoyance that can be caused by this hair removal practice is by using something as simple as aspirin or Tylenol.. Some people with mix this option with other techniqes as described below and in future articles.

Ice can be a very effective way to desensitize the place that is to be worked on, but there is a draw-back to it; some prefer your skin to be at normal temperature for the treatment. So you will need to speak to your salon or spa before doing this. The most effective way, if icing is permitted, is to swathe an ice cube in some type of wet fabric. A reusable iced first aid pack will do as well if you looking to avoid the sloppiness of a melting chunk of ice. You will want to use the ice no more than five minutes before the waxing starts, and make sure to carry on the usage once the task is complete, until you feel the soreness has ebbed away.

Though there is officially no scientific data to suggest why, many women claims that popping a few antacids helps. doing this about an hour before you go in to be worked on, they say, does a fine job of lessening the discomfort without the use of ice or medication.

Eric Seminara likes to avoid pain when possible and has compiled many tips on painless hair removal and other techniques you can find at OnlineHairRemoval.com

Body Image and Laser Hair Removal

Body Image and Laser Hair Removal
Through my years as an expert on laser hair removal, I have seen a definite increase in the amount of people who are now more aware of body hair issues. Women come in to my clinic all the time and ask about how they can get rid of their unibrow or bikini line. In fact, the collective conscious has changed dramatically over time as to what makes a woman beautiful.

If you take a quick look at history, the definition of beauty has developed significantly over the years. It is said that you can trace the public understanding of body image through the art work of luminaries such as Reubens and Renoir. In their depictions in the 17th and 19th century, women are full-figured and are not seen as what is thought of today as being attractive. Now women shown in movies and magazines are generally skinny and lack significant definition.

Even cultural differences exist around the world as to what defines beauty. For example there is a small tribe in Burma, called the Padaung, where women at a young age have rings put around their neck. As they become older, more rings are put around their neck, and their neck stretches. In the Paduang culture this is a sign of beauty. Even closer to home, if you go to the beaches of the French Riviera, you will see women with hairy arm pits. In the French culture, women who have arm pit hair are accepted.

In the United States, a general beauty custom is that women are not to have visible hair on their body. Besides the hair on top of their head, women with excessive hair on their legs, arms or face are seen as not properly groomed and generally unfeminine. However, it is not as if American women have developed a gene that makes us immune to unwanted hair. While that would be fantastic, there are realistic options to remove hair.

As we all know, hair removal can be a pain-staking process and can cost a lot of money over time. In fact, a major national hair removal center recently conducted a study with Zoomerang that found women spend more than $10,000 on hair removal products and services over the course of their lifetime. Survey respondents also reported they will spend more than 58.4 days removing hair from their bodies during their lifetime. Imagine what you could do with all that money and time! The one tried and true treatment that makes hair removal easy, affordable, and painless is laser hair removal, which provides permanent hair reduction.

To understand how laser hair removal works, it is important to understand hair and how it grows. Human hairs are made up of three parts: the bulb at the base of the hair follicle (which produces hair), the shaft and the hair. The bulb and the shaft are embedded beneath the surface of the skin, therefore the hair is the only part visible to the naked eye. The hair growth cycle is comprised of three stages: telogen, catagen and anagen.

At any given time, approximately 30 percent of your hair is in its anagen growth stage, which is the only time the hair is susceptible to laser hair removal treatments. Each laser hair reduction session will permanently damage 30 percent of the hair follicles in the treatment area. Essentially, laser hair removal works by destroying the hair follicle.

The only way to permanently reduce the amount of unwanted hair is to damage the hair follicle to a point where is unable to produce hairs. The hairs that are destroyed with each treatment are destroyed permanently. While patient protocol is determined on a case-by-case basis, on average our center recommends a minimum of six treatments, spread about two months apart per treatment.

Modern laser hair removal is really a marvel of technology and has effectively removed the discomfort that was once associated with laser hair removal and are still associated with some of the older equipment that is out there in non-specialty clinics.

Whether you are looking at laser hair removal as an alternative to your daily shaving ritual or are looking to save money over the long-term, the treatments are easy, fast, and painless. In fact, I even have had patients come in to my office on their lunch hour for a session. Laser hair removal will help to restore your body confidence and will bring you peace-of-mind that you might never have to shave again. And if that is not beautiful, I don't know what is!

Natural Ways For Hair Removal

Natural Ways For Hair Removal
It is one of the commonest problems faced by many women. Men can get away by shaving their beard, moustache and cutting their hair. For women it is not that simple. There are some common measures which every woman must have tried in her lifetime.

Waxing: It is one of the easiest and convenient ways to deal with your hair. It may be painful in the beginning but this method goes a long way. The hair growth after waxing is comparatively slower in comparison to shaving. It also keeps your waxed legs and hands smooth and supple. You can make this wax in the luxury of your very home.

Homemade wax

Use two cups of sugar, one fourth cup of water and one fourth cup of lemon juice. Heat a pan and pour all the mentioned ingredients in it. Heat this over a low flame and keep stirring till it's melted. You will get a thick brown liquid which can be used once slightly cool. Before you start waxing check it on you finger for consistency as well as the temperature. Before applying this mixture with a butter knife, cool it by blowing air over it. Use a clean cloth or any waxing strip; pull it in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Once done, apply ice as well as astringent over the area to tighten the pores.

Sugaring is a very old method of hair removal. With change in time this technique of hair removal is back in fashion. Its popularity has increased tremendously. You can try this recipe by using one cup sugar, juice of half a lemon, one fourth cup honey, Molasses, very little and cornstarch. Mix lemon, sugar, molasses and honey in bowl and heat it in the microwave for 2-4 minutes to get a smooth consistency. You can do the same by keeping it on the gas on a low flame. Dust the area with cornstarch before applying the mixture. This helps in smooth removal of the hair. Use the same procedure like waxing by using the strips.

Tweezing is another method for removing facial hair by using tweezers. It is a painstaking as well as time consuming job. Usually used for bushy eyebrows. Tweezing eventually stops your hair growth by the continuous pricking even though it may take lot of time.

Threading one of the most common and known method of hair removal used on any part of your body. This form of hair removal is used for upper lips, chin, eyebrows or any little patch which hasn't been taken care while waxing. It requires detail and attention. It is very useful for people with sensitive skin. It is the twirling of the cotton threads which removes the hair for that perfect look.

You can naturally bleach your hair with lemon juice and chamomile tea. One should not use lemon juice undiluted so you can mix honey with lemon juice.

You can also use pumice stone to remove excess hair on everyplace other than your face.

The Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

The Benefits of Laser Hair Removal
Many people have fallen in love with the fantastic results of laser hair removal. When you use laser hair removal, you've found a hair removal system that is 99% effective, gentle and safe. There are many benefits to using laser hair removal to remove unwanted facial or body hair. Both men and women have used laser hair removal easily and quickly to enhance their appearance.

Laser hair removal can be used by just about anyone. It used to be with the very first lasers that the "ideal" candidate had pale skin and dark hair. This would mean that the laser would notice the hair follicles quickly and could read them easily along the pale skin. However today those with lighter toned hair and darker tones of skin can use laser hair removal. What is most important is the type of laser that is used for your laser hair removal. Not every laser hair removal laser can adequately work for people of darker toned complexions. Be sure to double check before arranging your appointments, the people at the medical facility should know all about their laser.

Laser hair removal can be used on both the face and the body. Some types of hair removal do not work as well on either the face or the body; they really work only on one. Tweezing for example is an excellent natural temporary hair removal system that is ideal to remove fine hairs from your face. You certainly would not want to tweeze your leg or bikini area. However, laser hair removal works well on both the face and the body. Many customers are confident repeat customers: they have used the laser on one area of their body and now they want to use it on another are of their face or body.

Laser hair removal is a permanent solution. This is an ideal solution for permanent hair removal. Most experts consider this 99% effective, as there are times some people will need touch up appointments in some situations. However many people do not need touch up appointments, they simply go for their scheduled appointments and once this is over it is over. It is a great choice if you want that face or body hair gone.

Laser hair removal is a gentle and safe option. One of the top questions people will ask about laser hair removal is, "Does it hurt?" The best answer is that many people feel a bit of a twinge, as if someone had snapped a rubber band along your skin. For some this is a strong sensation and for other people they really don't feel much of anything at all. People's comfort thresholds are very different. Laser hair removal is also quite safe and has been used for more than twenty years. The technology has been adapted and improved over time. It has been impressive how laser hair technology has adapted as the years have gone by.

When you are seeking a hair removal alternative, laser hair removal is an excellent choice. Some people go for years waxing, plucking or shaving. These are all great options but they will only work for several days to a week at the very most. Then you are right back at the very beginning! With laser hair removal, you have permanent results with very little effort. It is awesome to think that only several weeks from now you could have all of your unwanted body and facial hair removed.

Get rid of all that unwanted hair with Lazer epilasyon. Lazer epilasyon is the process of removing hair so it will never grow back again.

Different Types Of Laser Hair Removal And Some Important Concerns

Different Types Of Laser Hair Removal And Some Important Concerns
A lot of people are having problems of hair overgrowth in different parts of their bodies. For people who could not stand the overindulgence of hair in their body, they should seriously think about undergoing laser hair removal treatment.

The ultimate good thing about laser hair removal treatment is that you will successfully get rid of the excess hair in your body with minimum discomforts. The treatment usually does not take long and it not even necessary for the patient to stay in the hospital for the treatment. In addition, for most people, the hair does not really come back after the course of laser hair removal treatment.

There are at least four types of laser lights that doctors commonly recommend and use in laser hair removal treatment. Namely The Alexandrite, The ruby, The diode and The ND and LP ND Yag or the Candela Gentle Yag are considered as one of the safest when it comes to laser hair removal.

Technically speaking, laser hair removal treatment works by sending out laser light to the hair follicles and thus destroying the roots of the hair. Dermatologists use just a sufficient amount of laser light to destroy the hair follicles without really harming the surrounding tissues. Once the roots of the hair are being destroyed, the hair usually does not grow again. But in some cases, the hair does grow back again except that the grain of the hair is now finer and would not really look as ugly as it used to be.

In order to find the hair follicles, the dermatologists typically focus on the dark color of the hair to guide them. Consequently, the laser beam is then being targeted on the dark colored portions in the skin of the patient. Since laser hair removal treatment relies very much on the difference between the colors of the skin and the hair of the person, therefore to say not all persons would qualify for this type of hair removal treatment.

People who have very light colored skin and those with very dark colored skin are generally not qualified for this type of treatment. According to dermatologist's explanation, very fair people usually have very fair hair that it is very hard for them to distinguish the skin from the hair follicles.

As for very dark people, the difficulty of identifying the hair form the skin is even more complex. In view of the fact that it is dangerous to just point the laser beam to non-specific directions in the skin, most dermatologists would to a certain extent not perform laser hair removal treatment on very fair and very dark types of skin.

Even though a lot of people in the United States complain about the excessive growth of hair over their bodies, actually only very few people would go to the clinic and ask for a laser hair removal treatment. According to studies, the leading factor that often deters the patient from seeking help about his or her hair growth problem is that he or she is fearful that the treatment will cost him or her a fortune.

Fortunately, the charge of laser hair removal is not really that stiff after all. Yes, no doubt that the cost of laser hair removal in some areas of the country could be higher but the thing is, if you truly want to get rid of those unsightly hairs in the different parts of your body, you just have to pay the price.

The cost of the laser hair removal treatment very much depends on the amount of work that needs to be done. Different people have their own different circumstances so there is a big possibility that the cost of laser hair removal treatment would vary from person t o person.

The best way for you to find out how much the treatment could cost you is for you to visit a laser hair removal treatment clinic and request for an assessment of your situation. Need not to be worry because the first visit to the clinic for an assessment is by and large free therefore you do not need to spend any money for the consultation.

When visiting the clinic for an assessment, it would be an excellent idea for you to simply ask the doctor or his/her assistant about the different types of treatment packages that the clinic is offering. Usually, clinics would offer some treatment packages for example those complete hair removal treatment packages where you can visit the clinic as many times as required.

The one good thing about getting the complete package is that you will be able to complete the treatment exclusive of worrying about paying for the extra treatments. On the other hand, if you cannot pay for to get the complete package, you can just go for the pay per visit arrangement.

Regrettably, most insurance companies do not cover the cost of laser hair removal treatment. In view of the fact that laser hair removal treatment is usually treated as cosmetic surgery, you will have to pay the cost of the laser hair removal treatment from your own pockets.

In this method, a low-energy laser beam is used to remove unwanted hair. I can tell you for sure that unlike routine hair removal practices, this procedure offers long-lasting results. You may have to pay multiple visits to the laser center to achieve that long term desired result. The cost of the treatment varies from person to person and is generally dependent on the size of the area treated as well as complexity of the case. The entire process is relatively pain free but improper treatment can cause lesions, burns and skin discoloration and irritation. The result is the best if you are light skinned and have dark body hair. It must be kept in mind that lasers must be used very cautiously if you tan or have a darker skin tone.

Womens Facial Hair- the Laser Hair Removal Solution
Women’s Excessive Facial Hair Growth - there’s no need to suffer!

Excessive facial or body hair in women is a condition called hirsutism. Hirsutism either runs in the family, usually presenting at menopause and puberty, or it can be an indicator of a larger underlying problem. Research indicates that up to 10-12% of the Australian female population is affected by Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which can be linked to excessive hair growth and hirsutism.

Hereditary hirsutism is largely an aesthetic rather than a health concern. When not hereditary it is most likely the result of excessive male hormone production (adrenal virilism), or an increased sensitivity of the hair follicle to normal male hormone levels. It is important to both a woman's health and her self-con dence to have this condition diagnosed by a doctor. Hirsutism and any hormone imbalance that may underlie this condition can be treated. Excessive facial and/or body hair can be managed. Electrolysis is one means of managing excess hair but this can be painful, slow and very costly requiring many visits as only one follicle at a time is usually treated by sending an electrical pulse down the hair shaft.

Laser hair removal (as distinct from the much less effective IPL) is a much more manageable maintenance procedure as it treats a larger number of follicles at a time, is more comfortable than electrolysis and provides fast effective treatments. Hormonal hair growth via Laser Hair Removal therapy is efficient and manageable but not always a permanent solution as it is likely that hormonal hair regrowth may occur although usually at a much slower rate and usually much thinner than before, so hirsutism sufferers should be wary of claims by any service provider that they will achieve a permanent solution.

A woman might consider bleaching her facial hair, which makes it less visible alternatively regularly waxing can also assist. All of these methods should be used as means to treating the symptom, but any woman with progressing hirsutism should consult a doctor for a diagnosis in order not to compromise her health, or her self-confidence.

Nad’s Laser Hair Removal Clinic treats a number of hirsutism sufferer’s however warns that when it comes to facial hair, clients need to carefully select their treatment provider as Nad’s Clinics see a large number of clients that have been treated by inexperienced IPL and Laser Clinics.
