Equipment Laser Hair Removal - Women's Best Friend

Equipment Laser Hair Removal - Women's Best Friend

Since laser hair removal is quickly becoming a new standard in hair removal procedures, it makes sense that many corporations would be getting in on a piece of the equipment manufacturing pie. If you are a doctor, physician, or other health professional who is looking to start a laser hair removal center in your area - perhaps it is high time that you learn about the different types of laser hair removal equipment available to you. There are quite a few products and manufacturers to choose from, all of which with varying prices affixed to their goods, so it is important to do business with the right company.

As of this writing, there are two main types of lasers that you will find in any mass produced laser hair removal equipment. Alexandrite lasers and ruby lasers. Both are capable of achieving the same high level of quality that you would expect from an expensive purchase like laser hair removal equipment - but the ruby lasers are, on the whole, more costly. Other lasers also exist, but they are less common than laser hair removal equipment that is constructed with alexandrite or ruby lasers.

Perhaps the most well known company in the laser hair removal equipment manufacturing scene is Lumenis. They operate under a variety of names, including the Lumenis LightSheer Laser Hair Removal System, the Diode and IPL Hair Removal Technology, and ESC Sharplan. Their lasers are sold around the world and manufactured with an exquisite attention to detail and a sharp eye for quality. This is the company that you will want to get in touch with if you are just getting into the laser hair removal market.

However, Lumenis is not the only manufacturer on the scene - there are many others as well. Comapnies like Altus Medical, Candela, Cynosure, CoolTouch, Focus Medical, Laserscope, and Palomar are all other companies who make products you may want to look into. These companies, like Lumenis, are all concerned with making sure that you get the quality of product that you pay for - they simply do not make as many laser hair removal equipment options as you would find with Lumenis.
As you can see, laser hair removal equipment is complex - however that should not stop you from considering this amazing procedure.

Pubic Hair Care and Groom

By Paton Jackson

Pubic hair is defined as the hair in the frontal genital area, in the crotch and some add the top inside of the legs. In most cases, distinguished pubic hair can be found within 3 years into puberty.
Women have always paid attention to grooming their pubic hair. In paintings from the 19’Th century naked women have a shaved or trimmed pubic hair. In some cultures as the Islam, women must trim their pubic hair.
There are 3 main pubic hair care types used among women:

1. Removing pubic hair – Pubic hair removal becomes more and more common. It is popular among the modern western society as well as traditional societies like Islam or Hindu. Some remove all they pubic hair while others prefer to leave some of it usually with the shape of an upside down triangle (other shapes like heart are also popular).

There are several methods of removing pubic hair – trimming with scissors, tweezing, waxing (bikini wax) and shaving. Why use waxing? Hair growth slows within time and it can be done at home.
Why use shaving? It is relatively cheap and can be done at home. Why use tweezing? It is useful to remove some hair fibers but not all pubic hair.

2. Dying pubic hair – More and more women dye their pubic hair although they are not aware of the risk they take. There is no product in the market that was manufactured with the purpose of tinting pubic hair.
In spite of the potential risk many men and women will dye their pubic hair to become real and all red hair or blond.

3. Shaping pubic hair – Becoming a hair dresser and shaping the pubic hair with any shape you can imagine is a widespread phenomenon. The recommended steps to shaping the pubic hair area are: deciding on the shape, trimming the hair besides the hair you are leaving as short as possible, taking a warm shower, shaving the pubic hair with a razor, cleaning the area thoroughly and finally drying it off.
We executed an independent research to find the best method for removing pubic hair. The results were clear. Find out more on pubic hair shave.

Laser Hair Removal For Pubic Hair: Is It The Right Solution For You?

Laser Hair Removal For Pubic Hair: Is It The Right Solution For You?

The laser pubic hair removal procedure is roughly the same for men and women; it consists on shining the pubic region with a high energy laser beam for a very short time. This energy is absorbed by the dark pigment present in the hair follicles, disabling their ability to grow and stopping them from becoming thicker. The laser beams attack pigments, so the lighter the skin, the less damaged it gets. However, the damage received in the skin is not permanent, even if the treated region is large. Removing pubic hair by laser doesn't normally cause pain, but just a little discomfort. If you have very delicate skin in your pubic region, you should consider using a mild topical anesthetic to reduce the discomfort, but it is generally unneeded.

Types of Laser Pubic Hair Removal

There are several types of laser hair removal methods available. For instance, many people decide to eliminate all of their pubic hair, while others decide to leave a tiny portion of hair, therefore performing a partial pubic hair removal. Whether it is a complete removal or a partial one, the mechanism of functioning is the same.

There are numerous types of lasers used to remove hair like Alexandrite laser, Nd:YAG, Pulsed diode array, Aragon laser and Ruby laser. Argon and Ruby lasers are not being used anymore because their wavelength is unsafe for the skin. Of all the lasers mentioned, the most effective one is the Alexandrite laser, but it is ineffective unless you have very light skin. The pulsed diode array laser is used for medium-colored skin while Nd:YAG is used for more tanned skin.

Pricing and Sessions Required for Laser Pubic Hair Removal

Laser hair removal professionals usually charge from $200 to $600 per session, although there are a couple of factors that will alter the exact prices. The number of sessions necessary to permanently stop hair growth depends on the skin color/hair color blend of the patient, being each session much more effective if the person has a very light skin and black or very dark brown hair. The closer to this blend, the fewer number of sessions needed. It takes roughly 4 sessions at a price of around $2000 to complete the whole process.

Laser Pubic Hair Removal Side Effects

A few minutes after each session, the treated skin area may become pink or even red. It feels like a mild sunburn and usually lasts for a couple of days. You may apply some topical cream to relieve the soreness. Moreover, you shouldn't expose the treated skin to the sun within 6 weeks of your sessions to prevent further skin damage to the already sensitive skin.

The Problem with Permanent Pubic Hair Removal...

The main advantage of laser hair removal can be a disadvantage depending on how you look at it. You will not be able to groom your pubic hair again because you will no longer have hair in your pubic region. Some people choose to keep only a small patch of pubic hair by choosing to remove pubic hair only on the bikini area and areas that will be exposed outside their skimpiest swimsuit or knickers.

If you can afford the expensive cost and the slight inconvenience, you will never have to shave or wax again! You will be able to say goodbye to razor bumps, pubic ingrown hairs and pubic pimples. However, please be 100% certain that this is what you want to do for there is no turning back once you permanently remove your pubic hair with laser.

Facial Hair Removal

By Richard Romando

Unwanted facial hair can be an embarrassing problem, especially for women. There are a number of methods available for facial hair removal. They include plucking, electrolysis, shaving, waxing, depilatory creams and laser techniques. Each of these facial hair removal methods has their own merits and demerits.

Plucking and shaving are two cheap and commonly used methods. There are many shaving devices and creams specially developed for women. But they have to be done daily or in alternative days. They can also cause discoloration of skin and infection to hair follicles. Often hair reappears in more dark shades.

Depilatory creams are comparatively inexpensive and short-term facial hair removal options. They are available as gels, creams, lotions, aerosols, and roll-on forms. They contain a highly alkaline chemical meant to dissolve the protein structure of the hair, which help in removing hair from skin surface. They are simple to use and can be carried out in the privacy of your own home. But you have to repeat the application once in every three to four days. They can also cause redness and irritation.

Waxing and tweezing are used to remove hair from below the surface. Hot wax is first applied above the hair to be removed and then it is pulled away from the face removing the hair with it. As they do not damage the hair follicles, new hair growth can occur within a few weeks. It can be done in a home or beauty salon. But these methods are painful and can produce skin redness and irritation.

Electrolysis is considered as the most effective technique for facial hair removal as it offers permanent hair removal. They destroy individual hair follicles. But it is very expensive and time consuming. With electrolysis, you need multiple treatments on regular intervals for permanent hair removal.

Laser facial hair removal is a newer technique that requires only little time for treatment, full face can be treated in about 15 minutes. But as in electrolysis, you need multiple sessions, usually 4 to 6. They are quite expensive too. You cannot use any other hair removal methods for about a month before your laser hair removal session.Hair Removal provides detailed information on Hair Removal, Laser Hair Removal, Permanent Hair Removal, Hair Removal Products and more. Laser Hair Removal Puts an End to Wax Forever

By Patricia Woloch

Laser hair removal has proven to be a very popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure and is a non-invasive, convenient way to permanently reduce unwanted facial and/or body hair. Short-term hair loss will occur in most patients with laser hair removal, but the degree of long-term hair reduction will vary among patients. Permanent hair loss occurs most often in dark hair, which has a high concentration of melanin whereas gray, white and blonde hair would need to be re-treated to maintain hair loss. This also will vary depending on the area being treated.

The Procedure

Laser hair removal is performed using a technology called Intense Pulsed Light or IPL. In this procedure, a handheld device is used that emits pulses of light that are able to effectively target hair follicles in their growth phase, damaging or destroying the follicles, thus preventing re-growth.

The process takes from several minutes to several hours, depending on the area of the body involved. The laser energy passes through the patient's skin, being absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. A percentage of the follicles are instantaneously and permanently disabled with each treatment. In most cases, no anesthesia is necessary.

The Benefits

· A non-invasive, gentle technique that eliminates undesirable hair from all parts of the body
· Leaves skin looking smoother and silkier
· Treats larger areas effectively because it removes more than one hair at a time.
· Minimal discomfort
· Replaces waxing, electrolysis and razors
· Immediate return to normal activities

Other Considerations
· It could be ongoing process that requires multiple sessions
· Sometimes there is a temporary slight reddening of the skin or localized swelling
· May have to use specially formulated skin care products and/or a prescribed skin care regimen. Sunscreen is recommended for any treated areas exposed to the sun.
· Patients with darker pigmentation may not respond well
· Blonde, white or gray hairs are less responsive to laser treatments and sometimes cannot be treated

Laser hair removal works best when the hair is one to two millimeters in length. Patients cannot tan prior or during hair removal treatment. You may not wax but shaving in between is permitted if it's necessary.

If you would like to learn more about how laser hair removal can put an end to all that shaving and waxing, please visit the website of cosmetic surgeon Dr. David A. Bray, Sr., serving patients in the Los Angeles area.
