Laser Hair Treatment - 10 Things You Must Know About Getting A Good Laser Hair Removal Service

Laser hair removal is supposed to be a safe process, yet dubious claims and inappropriate equipment still lead to scams and injuries. Consumers themselves must know the ins and outs of laser hair removal to prevent themselves from getting cheated. The following points will aid you in making a proper decision to get yourself ready at the clinic.

1) The sensitivity of your skin. A skin can be too delicate to be damaged instead of getting treated. A technology called CoolGlide can treat all known skin types. Consult a professional to examine and discuss over your skin and infection issues prior to treatment.

2) The degree of discomfort. Do not believe in a "no-pain" process. All treatment are bound to make you uncomfortable. However, it's not anywhere near the whip-lash pain of waxing.

3) The possibility of regrowth. Laser hair removal cannot possibly stop hair growth, though it can reduce growth rate permanently after hair cells are killed. If a practitioner claims to eradicate hair growth completely, you should ask for testimonials and get their proof upfront; it's in their benefit to tell you their achievement.

4) The cost. Depending on the area size treated, it could amount from US$25 to US$250. You may compare the price ranges of several services to get a good gauge. Ask for outstanding reasons that could factor into the overall cost, particular the overheads for their equipment.

5) Aging equipment. Ask for the type of laser used, whether it is effective, how long the practitioners have used the equipment and if there are newer models. You have a right to know.

6) Multiple treatment plans. It's quite likely to return for several treatments within 2 weeks, and then another separate session if necessary within a year to eliminate regrowth, but asking you to come back regularly without the fullest and sincere explanation on your case is simply an indication of ineffectiveness. Beware of such tactics that forces you to pay a lump sum in full. You deserve a good laser treatment as it is.

7) Safety measures. Laser, if abused, can cause damaging effects. Check what precautions are taken, like applying a layer of protective cream over the skin or wearing eye goggles.

8) The practitioner. Who is actually doing the treatment? The experienced doctor or some 'assistant'? Check that the practitioner is trained, qualified and certified to carry out treatments.

9) Ask for a test treatment. This is a simple request which practitioners have no difficulties to fulfill. Cost will still be incurred, but your initial experience with laser hair removal gets you in the know of how a typical treatment works and in tune with the clinical environment.

10) Get written information. Get a written agreement on all obligations, commitment and breakdown of cost from the practitioner to ensure that he stays true to the standard of service provided.

Low-Cost Laser Hair Removal - Now Available in Your Area!

Low-Cost Laser Hair Removal - Now Available in Your Area!

Have you always been intrigued by the concept of laser hair removal but never thought you could afford it? Great news-this is no longer the case--low-cost laser hair removal is not only a current reality, but very likely available at a spa therapy center near you!

For the longest time, it seemed as if laser hair removal was something only the rich and famous could afford. Moreover, it seemed that the only places offering such services were pricey spas in New York and L.A. With the growing number of women demanding better solutions to their unwanted body and facial hair problems, however, the number of spas offering this treatment has grown exponentially, and there are now accredited facilities all across the U.S.

The removal of unwanted body and facial hair is such a pain-literally and figuratively-that it's about time you treat yourself to what millions of women across America have already discovered: the joy of laser hair removal. And now that it has become so affordable, this is an option for even the most modest of beauty budgets.

If you enjoy spending time at the beach or the local pool but don't want to attract horrified stares from onlookers, you've had little choice but to take matters into your own hands or pay for treatment after treatment, year after year, for salon waxes. Not to mention the numerous treatments you've had to pay for over the years to have your upper lip and brows waxed.

Whether you've been doing it at home or at the salon, it is time to stop feeding the cash cow and make a decision to permanently remove those unwanted hairs. It is so great that there is now a treatment available which is permanent and therefore an investment-an investment in your beauty and self-confidence which will last a lifetime.

Although the practice of laser hair removal has been around for a long time, it is only recently that it has become so widely available and affordable. This has been made possible by the high demand for such services and a growing number of schools training professional aestheticians to perform this service.

The best part of the fact that this is a process that has been around for so long is that it is now so advanced that concerns about its safety are a thing of the past. But really, the best part of this treatment being so readily available is that it is permanent and pain free! How many times have you cut yourself shaving, or had painful, itchy rashes appear after the use of waxes or creams? These are things you will never again have to endure once you have undergone laser hair removal therapy.

So many years have gone by in which "Pain is beauty" has been the motto to live by when it comes to hair removal.

But now that low-cost laser hair removal is available, this cliché will soon be a thing of the past. To find more on laser hair removal, visit http://www.LaserHairRemoval-101.com, where you'll find everything you need on the latest on hair removal.

Body Hair Removal: Solutions For Today

Body Hair Removal: Solutions For Today

As we as a race become increasingly conscious of the way others look at us and not just the way, we look at ourselves, personal grooming has never been more important. And top of the list for many men and women today is to gain a superior attractive quality by getting rid of unwanted body hair. Be it facial hair removal for women, or back hair removal for men, quick hair removal treatments have fast gained in popularity with the masses. As your search continues for the treatment best suited for you, we have tried to put together a concise set of hair removal solutions available in the market today for your benefit.

The commonest form of quick hair removal today is shaving, which as the name suggests is the simple application of a razor blade, either manually or electrically on the skin surface to remove the hair by cutting the hair stem. While it's a quick painless hair removal method which is effective, it lasts only for very short bursts of time and can never be termed a permanent hair removal solution. Still for people short on time and low on cash, shaving still promises to be an affordable practical solution. For the slightly advanced enthusiast, depilatory creams are a good bet to do facial hair removal and leg hair removal. These creams effect quick hair removal through surface chemical reactions with the protein in your hair, breaking it down and making it easy to come off. Available in a variety of forms such as gels and aerosols and typically calcium-compound based, this treatment offers a solution which however is not a permanent hair removal method.

Of course, if you are a girl, you have probably gone through the painful procedure of waxing for body hair removal especially for hands and legs hair removal. Tweezing like waxing works by plucking the hair out of the skin right from its root s, thereby giving a hairless skin which can last for several weeks until the roots of the hair grow back. Electrolysis for hair removal on the other hand works on the principle of destabilizing the hair roots through surface electrical currents charged through electrodes implanted in the skin. While the effect of electrolysis hair removal is long standing in nature, frequent sessions and a serious dent on your bank balance are realistic possibilities that you need to keep in mind.

The best hair removal method available today is laser hair removal for men and women alike. This treatment is swift, precise, painless hair removal technique which normally guarantees an extended period of freedom from unwanted hair. In just a few sessions, whether it is facial hair removal or back hair removal, the laser technology effectively answers all your needs and desires for looking your personal best!

Visit your local salon or contact your beautician for understanding which of these hair removal treatments would work best for you. All the best to looking good and feeling great!!

Home Remedies for Sun Burns - Treat Sunburn at Home

Home Remedies for Sun Burns - Treat Sunburn at Home

Sunburn is a burn to the skin produced by overexposure to the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.

The symptoms of sunburn are: Red skin that is painful and hot to touch, mild dizziness and tiredness. The skin damage is often permanent and can have serious long-term health effects, including skin cancer.

Boil lettuce leaves for ten minutes, strain off and chill the water (cool, not cold) and apply it to burned skin. Some dermatologists also recommend this.

ALOE VERA is a natural and soothing treatment option for sunburn and tan. Just pluck a few leaves of the plant, mash them and mix with lemon juice. Apply all over the affected areas. It cleanses, clears and nourishes the skin.

Mix 2 teaspoon tomato juice and 4 tablespoon buttermilk and apply on the face. Leave for 1/2 hour, and wash off.

To create a green tea for sunburn compress, make an infusion by pouring boiling water over loose-leaf Green Sencha tea leaves and allow the mixture to sit for 15-20 minutes. Once that the infusion has cooled, strain the leaves and retain the liquid. Soak a clean cloth in the liquid, and then place on the sunburned area for 5-10 minutes. This may be done several times a day.

Prepare a Sunburn Soother by mixing 1 cup white wine vinegar, 5 tablespoons salt, 5 tablespoons plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons aloe gel. Combine all the ingredients and stir briskly until smooth and creamy. Store in a refrigerator. Shake well before use. Apply it on the affected areas every hour or so, until the burning sensation is gone.

Mix glam flour in curd and apply on face. Wash off after 30 minutes. Do it daily till your sunburn is gone.

Another home remedy for sunburn is to add water to powdered slippery elm to make a paste-like substance, and then to apply the paste on the sunburned areas. Slippery elm acts as healing agent, and also draws out toxins from the wounds.

Mix together 150ml (1 pint) of plain yoghurt and 2 tablespoons of rosewater (elderflower water can be substituted for the rose water.) Apply where it hurts to soothe and cool. The application of this delicious mixture can be made into a terrific game to turn a cantankerous child's thoughts from misery to laughter. Rose water and glycerin, 4 tablespoons of each, is one of the best moisturizers for children's skin but it is not as healing as yoghurt. This will completely remove sunburn.

Comfrey root is an herb that helps to soothe burns. Place one tablespoon of comfrey in one cup of water and bring it to a boil. After it simmers a few minutes, let it cool. Saturate a cloth with the strained liquid and apply to the burned area.

Mix one egg white with one tsp honey and hazel. Apply this on the bruised area and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Later wash it with luke warm water.

For treating a sunburn which is relatively mild, add ten drops of chamomile oil and ten drops of lavender oil to a cool bath and soak yourself in it for half an hour or more. This will moisten your skin and lessen the skin discomfort.
