Laser Hair Treatment - 10 Things You Must Know About Getting A Good Laser Hair Removal Service

Laser hair removal is supposed to be a safe process, yet dubious claims and inappropriate equipment still lead to scams and injuries. Consumers themselves must know the ins and outs of laser hair removal to prevent themselves from getting cheated. The following points will aid you in making a proper decision to get yourself ready at the clinic.

1) The sensitivity of your skin. A skin can be too delicate to be damaged instead of getting treated. A technology called CoolGlide can treat all known skin types. Consult a professional to examine and discuss over your skin and infection issues prior to treatment.

2) The degree of discomfort. Do not believe in a "no-pain" process. All treatment are bound to make you uncomfortable. However, it's not anywhere near the whip-lash pain of waxing.

3) The possibility of regrowth. Laser hair removal cannot possibly stop hair growth, though it can reduce growth rate permanently after hair cells are killed. If a practitioner claims to eradicate hair growth completely, you should ask for testimonials and get their proof upfront; it's in their benefit to tell you their achievement.

4) The cost. Depending on the area size treated, it could amount from US$25 to US$250. You may compare the price ranges of several services to get a good gauge. Ask for outstanding reasons that could factor into the overall cost, particular the overheads for their equipment.

5) Aging equipment. Ask for the type of laser used, whether it is effective, how long the practitioners have used the equipment and if there are newer models. You have a right to know.

6) Multiple treatment plans. It's quite likely to return for several treatments within 2 weeks, and then another separate session if necessary within a year to eliminate regrowth, but asking you to come back regularly without the fullest and sincere explanation on your case is simply an indication of ineffectiveness. Beware of such tactics that forces you to pay a lump sum in full. You deserve a good laser treatment as it is.

7) Safety measures. Laser, if abused, can cause damaging effects. Check what precautions are taken, like applying a layer of protective cream over the skin or wearing eye goggles.

8) The practitioner. Who is actually doing the treatment? The experienced doctor or some 'assistant'? Check that the practitioner is trained, qualified and certified to carry out treatments.

9) Ask for a test treatment. This is a simple request which practitioners have no difficulties to fulfill. Cost will still be incurred, but your initial experience with laser hair removal gets you in the know of how a typical treatment works and in tune with the clinical environment.

10) Get written information. Get a written agreement on all obligations, commitment and breakdown of cost from the practitioner to ensure that he stays true to the standard of service provided.

Low-Cost Laser Hair Removal - Now Available in Your Area!

Low-Cost Laser Hair Removal - Now Available in Your Area!

Have you always been intrigued by the concept of laser hair removal but never thought you could afford it? Great news-this is no longer the case--low-cost laser hair removal is not only a current reality, but very likely available at a spa therapy center near you!

For the longest time, it seemed as if laser hair removal was something only the rich and famous could afford. Moreover, it seemed that the only places offering such services were pricey spas in New York and L.A. With the growing number of women demanding better solutions to their unwanted body and facial hair problems, however, the number of spas offering this treatment has grown exponentially, and there are now accredited facilities all across the U.S.

The removal of unwanted body and facial hair is such a pain-literally and figuratively-that it's about time you treat yourself to what millions of women across America have already discovered: the joy of laser hair removal. And now that it has become so affordable, this is an option for even the most modest of beauty budgets.

If you enjoy spending time at the beach or the local pool but don't want to attract horrified stares from onlookers, you've had little choice but to take matters into your own hands or pay for treatment after treatment, year after year, for salon waxes. Not to mention the numerous treatments you've had to pay for over the years to have your upper lip and brows waxed.

Whether you've been doing it at home or at the salon, it is time to stop feeding the cash cow and make a decision to permanently remove those unwanted hairs. It is so great that there is now a treatment available which is permanent and therefore an investment-an investment in your beauty and self-confidence which will last a lifetime.

Although the practice of laser hair removal has been around for a long time, it is only recently that it has become so widely available and affordable. This has been made possible by the high demand for such services and a growing number of schools training professional aestheticians to perform this service.

The best part of the fact that this is a process that has been around for so long is that it is now so advanced that concerns about its safety are a thing of the past. But really, the best part of this treatment being so readily available is that it is permanent and pain free! How many times have you cut yourself shaving, or had painful, itchy rashes appear after the use of waxes or creams? These are things you will never again have to endure once you have undergone laser hair removal therapy.

So many years have gone by in which "Pain is beauty" has been the motto to live by when it comes to hair removal.

But now that low-cost laser hair removal is available, this cliché will soon be a thing of the past. To find more on laser hair removal, visit http://www.LaserHairRemoval-101.com, where you'll find everything you need on the latest on hair removal.

Body Hair Removal: Solutions For Today

Body Hair Removal: Solutions For Today

As we as a race become increasingly conscious of the way others look at us and not just the way, we look at ourselves, personal grooming has never been more important. And top of the list for many men and women today is to gain a superior attractive quality by getting rid of unwanted body hair. Be it facial hair removal for women, or back hair removal for men, quick hair removal treatments have fast gained in popularity with the masses. As your search continues for the treatment best suited for you, we have tried to put together a concise set of hair removal solutions available in the market today for your benefit.

The commonest form of quick hair removal today is shaving, which as the name suggests is the simple application of a razor blade, either manually or electrically on the skin surface to remove the hair by cutting the hair stem. While it's a quick painless hair removal method which is effective, it lasts only for very short bursts of time and can never be termed a permanent hair removal solution. Still for people short on time and low on cash, shaving still promises to be an affordable practical solution. For the slightly advanced enthusiast, depilatory creams are a good bet to do facial hair removal and leg hair removal. These creams effect quick hair removal through surface chemical reactions with the protein in your hair, breaking it down and making it easy to come off. Available in a variety of forms such as gels and aerosols and typically calcium-compound based, this treatment offers a solution which however is not a permanent hair removal method.

Of course, if you are a girl, you have probably gone through the painful procedure of waxing for body hair removal especially for hands and legs hair removal. Tweezing like waxing works by plucking the hair out of the skin right from its root s, thereby giving a hairless skin which can last for several weeks until the roots of the hair grow back. Electrolysis for hair removal on the other hand works on the principle of destabilizing the hair roots through surface electrical currents charged through electrodes implanted in the skin. While the effect of electrolysis hair removal is long standing in nature, frequent sessions and a serious dent on your bank balance are realistic possibilities that you need to keep in mind.

The best hair removal method available today is laser hair removal for men and women alike. This treatment is swift, precise, painless hair removal technique which normally guarantees an extended period of freedom from unwanted hair. In just a few sessions, whether it is facial hair removal or back hair removal, the laser technology effectively answers all your needs and desires for looking your personal best!

Visit your local salon or contact your beautician for understanding which of these hair removal treatments would work best for you. All the best to looking good and feeling great!!

Home Remedies for Sun Burns - Treat Sunburn at Home

Home Remedies for Sun Burns - Treat Sunburn at Home

Sunburn is a burn to the skin produced by overexposure to the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.

The symptoms of sunburn are: Red skin that is painful and hot to touch, mild dizziness and tiredness. The skin damage is often permanent and can have serious long-term health effects, including skin cancer.

Boil lettuce leaves for ten minutes, strain off and chill the water (cool, not cold) and apply it to burned skin. Some dermatologists also recommend this.

ALOE VERA is a natural and soothing treatment option for sunburn and tan. Just pluck a few leaves of the plant, mash them and mix with lemon juice. Apply all over the affected areas. It cleanses, clears and nourishes the skin.

Mix 2 teaspoon tomato juice and 4 tablespoon buttermilk and apply on the face. Leave for 1/2 hour, and wash off.

To create a green tea for sunburn compress, make an infusion by pouring boiling water over loose-leaf Green Sencha tea leaves and allow the mixture to sit for 15-20 minutes. Once that the infusion has cooled, strain the leaves and retain the liquid. Soak a clean cloth in the liquid, and then place on the sunburned area for 5-10 minutes. This may be done several times a day.

Prepare a Sunburn Soother by mixing 1 cup white wine vinegar, 5 tablespoons salt, 5 tablespoons plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons aloe gel. Combine all the ingredients and stir briskly until smooth and creamy. Store in a refrigerator. Shake well before use. Apply it on the affected areas every hour or so, until the burning sensation is gone.

Mix glam flour in curd and apply on face. Wash off after 30 minutes. Do it daily till your sunburn is gone.

Another home remedy for sunburn is to add water to powdered slippery elm to make a paste-like substance, and then to apply the paste on the sunburned areas. Slippery elm acts as healing agent, and also draws out toxins from the wounds.

Mix together 150ml (1 pint) of plain yoghurt and 2 tablespoons of rosewater (elderflower water can be substituted for the rose water.) Apply where it hurts to soothe and cool. The application of this delicious mixture can be made into a terrific game to turn a cantankerous child's thoughts from misery to laughter. Rose water and glycerin, 4 tablespoons of each, is one of the best moisturizers for children's skin but it is not as healing as yoghurt. This will completely remove sunburn.

Comfrey root is an herb that helps to soothe burns. Place one tablespoon of comfrey in one cup of water and bring it to a boil. After it simmers a few minutes, let it cool. Saturate a cloth with the strained liquid and apply to the burned area.

Mix one egg white with one tsp honey and hazel. Apply this on the bruised area and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Later wash it with luke warm water.

For treating a sunburn which is relatively mild, add ten drops of chamomile oil and ten drops of lavender oil to a cool bath and soak yourself in it for half an hour or more. This will moisten your skin and lessen the skin discomfort.

After Effects of Laser Hair Removal - Should I be afraid?

After Effects of Laser Hair Removal - Should I be afraid?
Considering laser hair removal? This relatively safe procedure is the perfect way to remove hair for an extended period of time. It is much faster, less painful and lasts longer than waxing or other types of hair removal. But, is there anything that you should know before having the procedure done? Are you wondering if in fact there are more facts that you should have on this before you begin?

What's Going To Happen To Me?

For many, the worry is that you will not know what is about to happen. It sounds pretty scary having a laser come at you while you are laying there vulnerable. But, the fact of the matter is that this is a very safe procedure. The laser will be worked by an experienced technician and you should make sure of this. It will feel like a soft tingling sensation across your skin. It is much less painful than waxing is. For most people, the pain is tolerable and there are few complications. They can go back to their normal routine right away.

Possible after-effects

For some, there are a few things that can happen to the skin. All of these conditions are mild and should not be considered something that will happen as the risk is low anyway.

Redness - The first thing that you will notice may be redness to the area that has been treated. In most cases, this is only temporary and will be gone within a few minutes. It is the same basic reaction that you would have if you were to pluck a hair or to damage the skin lightly.

Swelling - Your skin can seem to be a little swollen in the area that is treated. This again is just a reaction to being "hurt" and will go away within a few minutes or so.

Change in skin color - In some very rare cases, there is the potential for the lightening or darkening of the skin. This is very rare and the risk can be minimized by simply insuring you are working with an experienced technician for your laser hair removal.

Laser hair removal is a relatively safe procedure that doesn't often go wrong unless there is inexperience or human error, which is rare. So, hopefully we have convinced you that the after effects are minimal and quite tolerable to most people.

Tips on Relieving Hair Removal Discomfort

Tips on Relieving Hair Removal Discomfort
Fashion can be a fickle beast and the ages have held that to always be true. In the 70s and 80s, male virility was naturally assumed if a man had an excessive amount of bodily hair. That same token still holds true in many societies today however there are many more that now value the smooth graceful signature of hair-free skin as much on a male as they do on a female. By far, aside from some of the alternative movements, women have always been expected to have smooth and clean skin and so many display that quality with such flawless perfection. But how can these incarnations of Aphrodite submit themselves to the discomfort and even pain required to perform such a ritual of beauty, on such a regular basis?

The chic of today most times demands a clean and hair free style. The most used technique for attaining such a style is to wax. Waxing, often, can certainly be very uncomfortable. Does it need to be, though? Not really. There are methods you can use to ease the soreness or get rid of it completely. The key is to discover out what is the most successful for you and your personal level of pain tolerance.

One option for evading the annoyance that can be caused by this hair removal practice is by using something as simple as aspirin or Tylenol.. Some people with mix this option with other techniqes as described below and in future articles.

Ice can be a very effective way to desensitize the place that is to be worked on, but there is a draw-back to it; some prefer your skin to be at normal temperature for the treatment. So you will need to speak to your salon or spa before doing this. The most effective way, if icing is permitted, is to swathe an ice cube in some type of wet fabric. A reusable iced first aid pack will do as well if you looking to avoid the sloppiness of a melting chunk of ice. You will want to use the ice no more than five minutes before the waxing starts, and make sure to carry on the usage once the task is complete, until you feel the soreness has ebbed away.

Though there is officially no scientific data to suggest why, many women claims that popping a few antacids helps. doing this about an hour before you go in to be worked on, they say, does a fine job of lessening the discomfort without the use of ice or medication.

Eric Seminara likes to avoid pain when possible and has compiled many tips on painless hair removal and other techniques you can find at OnlineHairRemoval.com

Body Image and Laser Hair Removal

Body Image and Laser Hair Removal
Through my years as an expert on laser hair removal, I have seen a definite increase in the amount of people who are now more aware of body hair issues. Women come in to my clinic all the time and ask about how they can get rid of their unibrow or bikini line. In fact, the collective conscious has changed dramatically over time as to what makes a woman beautiful.

If you take a quick look at history, the definition of beauty has developed significantly over the years. It is said that you can trace the public understanding of body image through the art work of luminaries such as Reubens and Renoir. In their depictions in the 17th and 19th century, women are full-figured and are not seen as what is thought of today as being attractive. Now women shown in movies and magazines are generally skinny and lack significant definition.

Even cultural differences exist around the world as to what defines beauty. For example there is a small tribe in Burma, called the Padaung, where women at a young age have rings put around their neck. As they become older, more rings are put around their neck, and their neck stretches. In the Paduang culture this is a sign of beauty. Even closer to home, if you go to the beaches of the French Riviera, you will see women with hairy arm pits. In the French culture, women who have arm pit hair are accepted.

In the United States, a general beauty custom is that women are not to have visible hair on their body. Besides the hair on top of their head, women with excessive hair on their legs, arms or face are seen as not properly groomed and generally unfeminine. However, it is not as if American women have developed a gene that makes us immune to unwanted hair. While that would be fantastic, there are realistic options to remove hair.

As we all know, hair removal can be a pain-staking process and can cost a lot of money over time. In fact, a major national hair removal center recently conducted a study with Zoomerang that found women spend more than $10,000 on hair removal products and services over the course of their lifetime. Survey respondents also reported they will spend more than 58.4 days removing hair from their bodies during their lifetime. Imagine what you could do with all that money and time! The one tried and true treatment that makes hair removal easy, affordable, and painless is laser hair removal, which provides permanent hair reduction.

To understand how laser hair removal works, it is important to understand hair and how it grows. Human hairs are made up of three parts: the bulb at the base of the hair follicle (which produces hair), the shaft and the hair. The bulb and the shaft are embedded beneath the surface of the skin, therefore the hair is the only part visible to the naked eye. The hair growth cycle is comprised of three stages: telogen, catagen and anagen.

At any given time, approximately 30 percent of your hair is in its anagen growth stage, which is the only time the hair is susceptible to laser hair removal treatments. Each laser hair reduction session will permanently damage 30 percent of the hair follicles in the treatment area. Essentially, laser hair removal works by destroying the hair follicle.

The only way to permanently reduce the amount of unwanted hair is to damage the hair follicle to a point where is unable to produce hairs. The hairs that are destroyed with each treatment are destroyed permanently. While patient protocol is determined on a case-by-case basis, on average our center recommends a minimum of six treatments, spread about two months apart per treatment.

Modern laser hair removal is really a marvel of technology and has effectively removed the discomfort that was once associated with laser hair removal and are still associated with some of the older equipment that is out there in non-specialty clinics.

Whether you are looking at laser hair removal as an alternative to your daily shaving ritual or are looking to save money over the long-term, the treatments are easy, fast, and painless. In fact, I even have had patients come in to my office on their lunch hour for a session. Laser hair removal will help to restore your body confidence and will bring you peace-of-mind that you might never have to shave again. And if that is not beautiful, I don't know what is!

Natural Ways For Hair Removal

Natural Ways For Hair Removal
It is one of the commonest problems faced by many women. Men can get away by shaving their beard, moustache and cutting their hair. For women it is not that simple. There are some common measures which every woman must have tried in her lifetime.

Waxing: It is one of the easiest and convenient ways to deal with your hair. It may be painful in the beginning but this method goes a long way. The hair growth after waxing is comparatively slower in comparison to shaving. It also keeps your waxed legs and hands smooth and supple. You can make this wax in the luxury of your very home.

Homemade wax

Use two cups of sugar, one fourth cup of water and one fourth cup of lemon juice. Heat a pan and pour all the mentioned ingredients in it. Heat this over a low flame and keep stirring till it's melted. You will get a thick brown liquid which can be used once slightly cool. Before you start waxing check it on you finger for consistency as well as the temperature. Before applying this mixture with a butter knife, cool it by blowing air over it. Use a clean cloth or any waxing strip; pull it in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Once done, apply ice as well as astringent over the area to tighten the pores.

Sugaring is a very old method of hair removal. With change in time this technique of hair removal is back in fashion. Its popularity has increased tremendously. You can try this recipe by using one cup sugar, juice of half a lemon, one fourth cup honey, Molasses, very little and cornstarch. Mix lemon, sugar, molasses and honey in bowl and heat it in the microwave for 2-4 minutes to get a smooth consistency. You can do the same by keeping it on the gas on a low flame. Dust the area with cornstarch before applying the mixture. This helps in smooth removal of the hair. Use the same procedure like waxing by using the strips.

Tweezing is another method for removing facial hair by using tweezers. It is a painstaking as well as time consuming job. Usually used for bushy eyebrows. Tweezing eventually stops your hair growth by the continuous pricking even though it may take lot of time.

Threading one of the most common and known method of hair removal used on any part of your body. This form of hair removal is used for upper lips, chin, eyebrows or any little patch which hasn't been taken care while waxing. It requires detail and attention. It is very useful for people with sensitive skin. It is the twirling of the cotton threads which removes the hair for that perfect look.

You can naturally bleach your hair with lemon juice and chamomile tea. One should not use lemon juice undiluted so you can mix honey with lemon juice.

You can also use pumice stone to remove excess hair on everyplace other than your face.

The Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

The Benefits of Laser Hair Removal
Many people have fallen in love with the fantastic results of laser hair removal. When you use laser hair removal, you've found a hair removal system that is 99% effective, gentle and safe. There are many benefits to using laser hair removal to remove unwanted facial or body hair. Both men and women have used laser hair removal easily and quickly to enhance their appearance.

Laser hair removal can be used by just about anyone. It used to be with the very first lasers that the "ideal" candidate had pale skin and dark hair. This would mean that the laser would notice the hair follicles quickly and could read them easily along the pale skin. However today those with lighter toned hair and darker tones of skin can use laser hair removal. What is most important is the type of laser that is used for your laser hair removal. Not every laser hair removal laser can adequately work for people of darker toned complexions. Be sure to double check before arranging your appointments, the people at the medical facility should know all about their laser.

Laser hair removal can be used on both the face and the body. Some types of hair removal do not work as well on either the face or the body; they really work only on one. Tweezing for example is an excellent natural temporary hair removal system that is ideal to remove fine hairs from your face. You certainly would not want to tweeze your leg or bikini area. However, laser hair removal works well on both the face and the body. Many customers are confident repeat customers: they have used the laser on one area of their body and now they want to use it on another are of their face or body.

Laser hair removal is a permanent solution. This is an ideal solution for permanent hair removal. Most experts consider this 99% effective, as there are times some people will need touch up appointments in some situations. However many people do not need touch up appointments, they simply go for their scheduled appointments and once this is over it is over. It is a great choice if you want that face or body hair gone.

Laser hair removal is a gentle and safe option. One of the top questions people will ask about laser hair removal is, "Does it hurt?" The best answer is that many people feel a bit of a twinge, as if someone had snapped a rubber band along your skin. For some this is a strong sensation and for other people they really don't feel much of anything at all. People's comfort thresholds are very different. Laser hair removal is also quite safe and has been used for more than twenty years. The technology has been adapted and improved over time. It has been impressive how laser hair technology has adapted as the years have gone by.

When you are seeking a hair removal alternative, laser hair removal is an excellent choice. Some people go for years waxing, plucking or shaving. These are all great options but they will only work for several days to a week at the very most. Then you are right back at the very beginning! With laser hair removal, you have permanent results with very little effort. It is awesome to think that only several weeks from now you could have all of your unwanted body and facial hair removed.

Get rid of all that unwanted hair with Lazer epilasyon. Lazer epilasyon is the process of removing hair so it will never grow back again.

Different Types Of Laser Hair Removal And Some Important Concerns

Different Types Of Laser Hair Removal And Some Important Concerns
A lot of people are having problems of hair overgrowth in different parts of their bodies. For people who could not stand the overindulgence of hair in their body, they should seriously think about undergoing laser hair removal treatment.

The ultimate good thing about laser hair removal treatment is that you will successfully get rid of the excess hair in your body with minimum discomforts. The treatment usually does not take long and it not even necessary for the patient to stay in the hospital for the treatment. In addition, for most people, the hair does not really come back after the course of laser hair removal treatment.

There are at least four types of laser lights that doctors commonly recommend and use in laser hair removal treatment. Namely The Alexandrite, The ruby, The diode and The ND and LP ND Yag or the Candela Gentle Yag are considered as one of the safest when it comes to laser hair removal.

Technically speaking, laser hair removal treatment works by sending out laser light to the hair follicles and thus destroying the roots of the hair. Dermatologists use just a sufficient amount of laser light to destroy the hair follicles without really harming the surrounding tissues. Once the roots of the hair are being destroyed, the hair usually does not grow again. But in some cases, the hair does grow back again except that the grain of the hair is now finer and would not really look as ugly as it used to be.

In order to find the hair follicles, the dermatologists typically focus on the dark color of the hair to guide them. Consequently, the laser beam is then being targeted on the dark colored portions in the skin of the patient. Since laser hair removal treatment relies very much on the difference between the colors of the skin and the hair of the person, therefore to say not all persons would qualify for this type of hair removal treatment.

People who have very light colored skin and those with very dark colored skin are generally not qualified for this type of treatment. According to dermatologist's explanation, very fair people usually have very fair hair that it is very hard for them to distinguish the skin from the hair follicles.

As for very dark people, the difficulty of identifying the hair form the skin is even more complex. In view of the fact that it is dangerous to just point the laser beam to non-specific directions in the skin, most dermatologists would to a certain extent not perform laser hair removal treatment on very fair and very dark types of skin.

Even though a lot of people in the United States complain about the excessive growth of hair over their bodies, actually only very few people would go to the clinic and ask for a laser hair removal treatment. According to studies, the leading factor that often deters the patient from seeking help about his or her hair growth problem is that he or she is fearful that the treatment will cost him or her a fortune.

Fortunately, the charge of laser hair removal is not really that stiff after all. Yes, no doubt that the cost of laser hair removal in some areas of the country could be higher but the thing is, if you truly want to get rid of those unsightly hairs in the different parts of your body, you just have to pay the price.

The cost of the laser hair removal treatment very much depends on the amount of work that needs to be done. Different people have their own different circumstances so there is a big possibility that the cost of laser hair removal treatment would vary from person t o person.

The best way for you to find out how much the treatment could cost you is for you to visit a laser hair removal treatment clinic and request for an assessment of your situation. Need not to be worry because the first visit to the clinic for an assessment is by and large free therefore you do not need to spend any money for the consultation.

When visiting the clinic for an assessment, it would be an excellent idea for you to simply ask the doctor or his/her assistant about the different types of treatment packages that the clinic is offering. Usually, clinics would offer some treatment packages for example those complete hair removal treatment packages where you can visit the clinic as many times as required.

The one good thing about getting the complete package is that you will be able to complete the treatment exclusive of worrying about paying for the extra treatments. On the other hand, if you cannot pay for to get the complete package, you can just go for the pay per visit arrangement.

Regrettably, most insurance companies do not cover the cost of laser hair removal treatment. In view of the fact that laser hair removal treatment is usually treated as cosmetic surgery, you will have to pay the cost of the laser hair removal treatment from your own pockets.

New York City Laser Hair Removal

New York City Laser Hair Removal

We spend a lot of time waxing, cutting, shaving, plucking away hair from unwanted places like legs, upper lip, chin, arms, back, and other such areas, only to find it growing back a short time later. In New York City, laser hair removal has become a very popular cosmetic procedure for getting rid of unwanted hair. Just try out the safe and economic process of new york city laser hair removal.

In this method, a low-energy laser beam is used to remove unwanted hair. I can tell you for sure that unlike routine hair removal practices, this procedure offers long-lasting results. When the laser beam moves across the treatment area, the laser energy passes through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. You may have to pay multiple visits to the laser center to achieve that long term desired result. The cost of the treatment varies from person to person and is generally dependent on the size of the area treated as well as complexity of the case. The entire process is relatively pain free but improper treatment can cause lesions, burns and skin discoloration and irritation. The result is the best if you are light skinned and have dark body hair. It must be kept in mind that lasers must be used very cautiously if you tan or have a darker skin tone.

New York city is perhaps the laser hair removal capital of the world. There are a host of centers offering new york city laser hair removal. There are many different options when it comes to hair removal, there are affordable options but you must understand that when using more cost effective procedures the length of time the hair remains removed will be of a shorter time span.

Laser Body Hair Removal is growing rapidly in popularity as men and women become more conscious of their body image. Most people who have a lot of hair on their body are embarrassed when going to any type of event that involves taking off clothing. When people go swimming in the summer most people are embarrassed about taking of their clothing because of the hair on their body. The removal of body hair is becoming more widespread and prevalent because in today's world no hair is sexier.

Why should you use a laser to remove hair? Men and women from all walks of life are turning in increasing numbers to laser to remove unwanted hair from their bodies. The latest technology has created machines that allow technicians to remove your hair from virtually any where on your body; it only works if the hair is fully grown it does not work on small or peach fuzz hair. To remove the hair by the root it must be at least 1/4 inch or 6 mm long.

If you are looking for permanent hair removal many people choose electrolysis, using this option leaves your skin virtually void of hair. Try to find a practitioner who will put their claim of permanent hair removal in writing with a guarantee.

Time peel is a valuable solution for clients with large pores, chapped skin and fine wrinkles, as well as for improvement of the skin pigmentation. If you are going to shave your pubic hair make sure you use a wet shaver, if you cannot completely dry the area before shaving. Light skin is the preferred choice for laser hair removal and fewer treatments will be required.

Hair removal has become very popular and laser hair removal has become an alternative to waxing and shaving because when you use laser treatments unwanted hair is removed and after many treatments it is permanently removed or reduced. Waxing is another method that many women use, but this hair removal system can be very painful. One of the most cost effective methods of removing hair still remains and that is tweezing and waxing.

Womens Facial Hair- the Laser Hair Removal Solution

Womens Facial Hair- the Laser Hair Removal Solution
Women’s Excessive Facial Hair Growth - there’s no need to suffer!

Excessive facial or body hair in women is a condition called hirsutism. Hirsutism either runs in the family, usually presenting at menopause and puberty, or it can be an indicator of a larger underlying problem. Research indicates that up to 10-12% of the Australian female population is affected by Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which can be linked to excessive hair growth and hirsutism.

Hereditary hirsutism is largely an aesthetic rather than a health concern. When not hereditary it is most likely the result of excessive male hormone production (adrenal virilism), or an increased sensitivity of the hair follicle to normal male hormone levels. It is important to both a woman's health and her self-con dence to have this condition diagnosed by a doctor. Hirsutism and any hormone imbalance that may underlie this condition can be treated. Excessive facial and/or body hair can be managed. Electrolysis is one means of managing excess hair but this can be painful, slow and very costly requiring many visits as only one follicle at a time is usually treated by sending an electrical pulse down the hair shaft.

Laser hair removal (as distinct from the much less effective IPL) is a much more manageable maintenance procedure as it treats a larger number of follicles at a time, is more comfortable than electrolysis and provides fast effective treatments. Hormonal hair growth via Laser Hair Removal therapy is efficient and manageable but not always a permanent solution as it is likely that hormonal hair regrowth may occur although usually at a much slower rate and usually much thinner than before, so hirsutism sufferers should be wary of claims by any service provider that they will achieve a permanent solution.

A woman might consider bleaching her facial hair, which makes it less visible alternatively regularly waxing can also assist. All of these methods should be used as means to treating the symptom, but any woman with progressing hirsutism should consult a doctor for a diagnosis in order not to compromise her health, or her self-confidence.

Nad’s Laser Hair Removal Clinic treats a number of hirsutism sufferer’s however warns that when it comes to facial hair, clients need to carefully select their treatment provider as Nad’s Clinics see a large number of clients that have been treated by inexperienced IPL and Laser Clinics. Inappropriate treatment can result in additional hair growth to facial or hormonal areas. Nad’s Laser Hair Removal Clinic warns that ONLY the affected areas should be treated by highly skilled therapists that have a sound understanding and many years experience in dealing with skin as inappropriate treatments may result in adverse side effects.. Additionally, certain medications are photosensitive and can result in an adverse affect if a pre treatment Consultation is not accurately conducted by skilled Therapists. Laser hair removal overcoming an IN-growing problem

Laser hair removal overcoming an IN-growing problem
One of the most bothersome things on the body are ingrown hairs. While there are worse skin care problems out there, this can be an unsightly and painful hassle for both men and women. Medically termed pseudofolliculitis barbae , this skin condition can also be known as razor bumps.

So what exactly are ingrown hairs?

Ingrown hairs develop in several ways. The hair being broken off short with a sharp tip can cause ingrown hairs.
Do hair removal methods cause ingrown hair?

Subject to the skin and hair type, ingrown hair can be caused with different types of removal methods.
- Depilatories- dissolve the hair using chemicals instead of it breaking or being pulled from the root. One of the least likely temporary hair removal methods to cause ingrown hair.
- Shaving- the hair is removed at or just below the skin with the blunt cut of the razor. Ingrown hair is most likely to be cause by this method.
- Tweezing- distortion of the hair follicle is caused as the tweezer pulls the hair from the root. The angle of growth is consequently improper, cause ingrown hair.
- Waxing- distortion of the hair growth also occurs as hair is pulled from the root.
- Electrolysis- a metal probe is inserted into the hair follicle, followed by a mild electronic current killing the hair. The results of this method are varying, but eliminates ingrown hair if successful.
 Laser Hair Removal- destroys the hair follicles by using laser lights, permanently reducing hair growth. Successful procedures will overcome ingrown hair.
Although there are various treatments available for the removal of unwanted hair, traditional techniques such as shaving, plucking, waxing and depilatory creams often lead to annoying rashes and ingrown hairs. They are also painful and worst of all, the results are only temporary.

Effective Laser Hair Removal technology allows for the safe removal of unwanted hair, eliminating ingrown hairs and leaving a smooth and flawless finish. Using IPL and Laser Hair Removal technologies, optimal wavelengths of light energy are gently delivered to both the hair shaft and follicle in pulses, through a delicate, computer-controlled hand piece. Effectively, the source of the unwanted hair growth problem is targeted and treated, therefore allowing for permanent results.

Chest Hair Removal - Do You Need It?
Brought to You By: http://www.laserhairportal.com

Chest hair removal is becoming an increasingly popular option for those looking for permanent hair removal. While chest hair is often a sign of masculinity, it can be very embarrassing for men with excessive chest hair. Many men are self-conscious of excessive chest hair. Fortunately, there’s a simple solution.

With 4-5 one-hour laser treatments, men can have the chest they’ve always wanted. There’s no reason to put up with the pain of waxing. Simply visit your local laser hair removal clinic.

There are many types of laser hair removal systems that you can choose from. Each laser hair removal system has specific advantages and disadvantages depending on your skin and hair color. The three main laser hair removal systems include the ND Yag, Ruby, and Diode lasers.

The ND Yag laser is considered to be more effective when treating dark or tanned skin. It is also especially useful when treating coarser hair. For many, this may be a good solution for chest hair removal. One of the popular ND Yag lasers is the Candela GentleLase Plus.

The Ruby laser is best suited for those with lighter skin. It’s small spot size makes it good for smaller areas. The Ruby laser provides for a more comfortable treatment. Some common ruby lasers include the EpiTouch and the Epilaser

The Diode laser features a longer wavelength, giving it an advantage in treating a wide variety of skin types.

The Alexandrite is a unique laser that can be customized to treat hair with different degrees of coarseness. This is achieved through a versatile range of spot sizes. Another advantage of the Alexandrite lasers is that they are fast. They can remove male chest hair in about 30-40 minutes.

All of these lasers are good. However, your technician will be able to tell you which type of laser would be best for your particular skin and hair type.

If you are tired of shaving, waxing, and tweezing, laser hair removal may be the perfect solution. To find out more about laser hair removal , visit http://www.laserhairportal.com .

Options for Getting Swimsuit Ready

Options for Getting Swimsuit Ready
As the winter melts away into spring the pressure of swimsuit season is on. It’s common to panic over shedding a few pounds and finding a way to deal with all of that unwanted hair, which is so easy to neglect over the cold winter months. Don’t be intimidated by coarse or dark hair. There is a way to deal with all of it. Consider all of the possible hair removal options before committing to just one. They each have both advantages and disadvantages not to mention the difference they can all make when it comes to your budget.

Shaving is one of the simplest and cheapest ways to achieve a hairless look immediately and without any pain involved. It’s fast and easy but it is the lease effective of all possible hair removal methods. It might get you out of a quick jam if sudden dinner plans come up and you have an hour to get ready but if it’s a long term solution you want then keep looking. Those who lack a steady hand may also want to forgo this option. If you do choose to shave then be sure you use a shaving lotion that has moisturizer in it. Shaving can really dry out the skin.

Those who are brave enough to give waxing a try often come away either loving or hating the experience. It’s no secret that it involves some pain. Even waxing kits that claim to be pain free can’t possibly be completely void of any discomfort. But that is the price one chooses to pay in order to have a silky smoothness that lasts for weeks. Waxing is great for all parts of the body. You can try it at home yourself or go to the salon and have it done by a professional.

Depilatory creams have been on the cosmetic market for several years. They didn’t start out as a highly effective way to remove hair but have since become much better in terms of development and results. Designed to be pain free, they’re a great alternative for sensitive places like the bikini line which is a must have for swimsuit season. Avoid the pain of wax strips and the nasty remnants of razor burn which are prone to occur in the bikini area. It might take a few tries to find a depilatory cream that works best for you. Like with any item, shopping around is important for the best quality product.

There are simple at home procedures for getting rid of unwanted hair but there are also a few other methods that require a professional trained in that area. Laser hair removal is a temporary solution that lasts longer than any of the rest. It often requires more than one visit and can become hard on the budget over time but it leaves positive results that last for months. When it comes to slipping into that slinky bikini and having fun in the sun, your hair removal system may help determine your confidence. Try them all to see which works best for you.

Before you commit your time, money or body to any hair removal treatment, get the facts. We help you choose the best hair removal option for any body part. For more information on topics such as laser hair removal treatments, visit www.HairRemovalTreatmentGuide.com now.

Superfluous hair is also known as Hypertrichosis. It can be generalized, symmetrically affecting most of the torso and limbs, or localized, affecting an area of skin. Many cultures have a perceived ideal amount of hair growth. Changes in hair-growth patterns are sometimes a symptom of hormonal imbalances. Use of stimulating liniments, poultices, etc., may lead to an increased hair growth in that particular region.

Genetic observations to the pathogenesis of hypertrichosis remains uncertain. Some drugs (e.g., diazoxide, diphenylhydantoin, and minoxidil) and toxins (e.g., mercury) can induce generalized hair growth as well. Factors That Influence Laser Hair Removal Cost

Factors That Influence Laser Hair Removal Cost
Laser hair removal is becoming one of the most popular cosmetic procedures today. With a few zaps of laser energy, almost any part of the body can become permanently smooth and hair-free. While laser hair removal isn’t a cosmetic surgery procedure, you will still want to choose your clinic with care. Instead of just looking for the lowest-priced clinic, use these factors to help you understand the cost of laser hair removal, then make an informed decision about which clinic to select.

Factors That Influence Laser Hair Removal Cost -- Size of Treatment Area

Generally, the size of the area treated with laser hair removal will have the biggest influence on this cosmetic procedure’s cost. It stands to reason that hair removal on the upper lip or underarm will cost less, sometimes much less, than on the back or legs. The technician will have to spend a greater amount of time on a larger area, which will have a bearing on your cost.

Factors That Influence Laser Hair Removal Cost -- Your Skin and Hair Color

As you may already know, skin and hair color are key factors in how well laser hair removal can work. Since the laser is attracted to certain kinds of pigment, and dark hair contains more of these pigments, laser hair removal is generally easier for people with dark hair.

This does not mean that people with light hair (considered to be red, gray, blond or white) cannot have laser hair removal. They may just need a greater number of treatments. The laser is also attracted to the pigment in darker skin tones. Someone with darker skin and darker hair may need more treatments or more advanced laser technology to achieve the desired hair removal.

For patients with light hair or dark skin, a skillfully trained and highly proficient technician is necessary, which may increase your cost. Laser hair removal clinics with more advanced laser technology may also offer you a greater chance of success, but may cost more.

Number of Laser Hair Removal Cosmetic Procedures Required

As you consider factors that will influence your laser hair removal cost, you will find that most clinics charge a separate fee for each session. Your cost scales up or down, according to how many sessions you need. You may want to investigate package pricing versus pay-as-you go plans to determine any potential savings.

Factors That Influence Laser Hair Removal Cost -- Laser Hair Removal Technology at the Clinic

If you select a clinic with the latest and most advanced laser hair removal technology, you may find you are quoted a higher cost for each session. This offsets the clinic’s investment in new equipment.

You may decide that the potential for fewer treatment sessions is worth the extra cost per session. However, keep in mind that almost everyone needs at least three sessions to achieve the desired hair removal. This is because the hair follicles go through active and dormant phases in the skin cycle. Dormant follicles may not respond to the laser. Claims of complete hair removal in a single session may not be entirely accurate.

Factors That Influence Laser Hair Removal Cost -- Clinic Staff and Training

Laser hair removal clinics may be staffed with doctors, nurses or other trained personnel, depending on the requirement in your state. Clinics staffed entirely with doctors may sometimes charge more for their services. When you are researching laser hair removal clinics, you may want to ask about the credentials, board certification and licensing of the staff as a way to help understand the clinic’s pricing structure.

Factors That Influence Laser Hair Removal Cost -- Clinic Location and Amenities

Geographic location plays a role in pricing at laser hair removal clinics. Some parts of the country are more expensive than the national average, and some are less. Clinics in larger cities with more competition may offer lower prices than clinics in smaller towns. Some clinics are bare-bones facilities, while others offer luxury spa amenities. Obviously, these clinics will all offer different pricing policies.

Now that you understand the factors influencing the cost of laser hair removal , you can feel confident selecting the facility that best meets your cosmetic surgery needs -- and budget. So if you are contemplating this type of cosmetic procedure , you can now shop for your perfect deal.

1. Laser hair removal is best for dark hair with light skin but it does not mean that you are not the right candidate for the laser hair removal. You should visit a dermatologist before going for a laser hair removal and you should collect information on laser hair removal from the manufacturers or direct from their site. However, some dermatologists can suggest you some alternatives. If you have light color hair then artificial hair darkening is advisable followed by laser.

2. It is very important to have a consultation with a dermatologist. You should meet the technician and request him or her to perform a test pulse. 3. Avoid waxing and tweezing for at least 6 weeks before your laser hair removal treatment. You are advised not to remove hairs by the roots.

Laser hair removal is a painless process. If there is a little pain, it is certainly bearable. If you cannot bear the pain during laser hair removal you should tell your technician so that he or she can supply you with numbing creams or proper coolants. Your feedback about pain will help the technician to adjust the intensity of the laser.

However, Permanent Laser Hair Removal is one of the long lasting hair removal methods. However, re growth can occur after laser hair removal, which may be lighter in color.

Disadvantages of laser hair removal: 1) A long-term data regarding safety, effectiveness and response rate of laser hair removal has not yet been established. 2) Sometimes regrowth takes place even after laser hair removal, which indicates laser hair removal is not 100% permanent. 3) Laser hair removal is generally not effective on gray, red, blonde or unpigmented hair. 4) Laser hair removal must be used very carefully because improper treatment can cause skin discoloration, burns, lesions or patchy regrowth. 5) Laser hair removal requires eye protection and skin cautiousness.

Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal

Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal

Intense Pulse Light (IPL), Hair Removal is faster, less obtrusive, and more cost effective than any other hair removal system today. With authorised trained technicians, and FDA & TGA approval, Pulse Light Hair Removal is the answer for silky smooth, hair free skin.Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal is the most advanced and effective permanent hair reduction process now available.

Far superior to traditional hair removal methods, Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal employs the latest technology to efficiently and effectively remove all hair types, without damaging the surrounding tissue. With little to no interruption to your usual daily routine Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal is the perfect solution for long lasting, permanent hair reduction. What is Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal and how does it work?

Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal works by penetrating the epidermis, or top layer of the skin with a specific wavelength of light that targets to reach the dermis underneath in where the hair follicle resides.Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal uses a chilled lens which cools the skin before, during, and after the light pulse, that will give a slight sting or pinch sensation, similar to the snap of a rubber band. Used in conjunction with our protective cold gel, any discomfort or reaction caused by Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal is reduced even further.

Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal, also known as photo epilation, specifically targets the follicle during the growth stage, destroying, or severely limiting its regrowth capacity. As at any given time different follicles may be either dormant or active, several treatments are required to effectively cover the treated area.A highly advanced computer regulates the wavelength of light being emitted by the Intense Pulse Light, administering the correct exposure safely to any area, from large sections such as the back or legs, to the more delicate and sensitive areas of the lips, and face.Unlike traditional methods, Intense Pulse Light leaves the surface of the skin undamaged, it also enhances the bodies own natural production of Collagen which in turn improves the condition of the skin.Traditional treatments have had limited effect on lighter hair shades, however by combining the treatment with Meladine to give the hair pigment, all hair colours can be treated safely with Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal technology.

Treatment times and exposures may vary depending on the area being treated, hair colour and pigmentation of the skin. Prior to commencing treatment, all clients must have an initial pre-treatment to ascertain the correct level of exposure for their skin type, and to prepare the skin for the following treatment 24 hours later.Although the number of treatments required will vary from client to client, typically Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal is a progressive process, hair reduction increases with each treatment you have, to ensure that you get the very best results from Intense Pulse Light we recommend a minimum of 4 treatments at five week intervals.
